In observance of the 60th International Human Rights Day (IHR) under the
Universal Declaration on Human Rights, progressive and human rights groups
will stage a March-Rally to end the ‘8 Day Countdown to IHR Day’ Kawagib
launched to tally countless human rights violations Gloria
Macapagal-Arroyo inflicted to Bangsamoro people.
Why 8 days?
Since US-Arroyo Regime roughly governed the Bangsamoro and the Filipino
people for 8 years full of sufferings and abuses. Most recent is the
All-Out War Policy she declared in the provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del
Sur and North Cotabato to pursue those she tagged as rogue MILF elements,
but unmindful of the thousands innocent civilians forcibly vacated, women
and children’s pitiful situation in the evacuation centers and mounting
numbers of Moro civilians falsely accused as terrorists..
The Kawagib
together with other groups, call for the pull-out of military troops in
Moro and non-Moro communities, resumption of peace negotiations and
justice and indemnification to all victims of human rights violations.
PLEASE COME.
THANK YOU.
