“KMP wants Norberto Gonzalez’s head for spate of bombings!”
 
The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) condemns the bombing of the House of Representative last night right after the end of its session. The group also expressed its condolences to the relatives and friends of those who were killed and injured in the attack.

According to Rafael “Ka Paeng” Mariano, chairman of KMP and concurrent president of ANAKPAWIS party list, “it seems that explosions and killings are becoming a common occurrence these days but National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzalez has done nothing to stop them. First there was the explosion at the Glorietta 2 that killed 11 people then the explosion in Bacoor, Cavite which killed 6 and now the Congress bombing which killed 3 and wounded more. The killings and abductions of activists and now even COMELEC officials also continue,”

“What is the National Security Council (NSC) doing with the billions in its intelligence funds? Either Sec. Gonzalez is completely inutile or they know that these bombings are going to happen and even coordinated them, to sow state terror among the populace and save the political career of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The timing of these explosions is very suspect and they occur on strategic times when Gloria is being threatened either with exposes’ or impeachment. These blasts are political in nature and designed to divert attention from the burning issues of bribery and impeachment as well as a shock treatment to stifle dissent.The Glorietta blast occurred when public clamor for Gloria to resign was gaining ground while the Congress blast happened the night before the impeachment case against Gloria will be rejected or accepted” said Mariano.

“Another point is that only military trained operatives can sneak into the heavily guarded House of Representatives with that much explosives or that they were purposely allowed to go inside. It is obvious that national security under Sec. Gonzalez is getting worse and we have many reasons to believe that he is making it so, as a premise for another crackdown against the critics of the regime, amend the Human Security Act and to declare a state of emergency,” added the peasant leader.
“The national security adviser himself is a state terrorist and we will never be safe with him around and keeping his post. We are demanding that he resign or be fired from his job. If he thinks that this state terrorism can cow the Filipino people then he is badly mistaken, we will continue to reveal the truth and stand up for what is right,” ended Mariano. # # #
