STATEMENT BY ILPS AUSTRALIA
On the Death of Labour Leader Crispin “Ka Bel” Beltran

The Australia Chapter of the International League of Peoples Struggles expresses its deepest sympathy and mourning over the death of a great Labour leader, Crispin “Ka Bel” Beltran.
Many of our members have been inspired by “Ka Bel’s” leadership, courage and commitment over many decades and we mourn his passing.

His life long commitment to changing the world, to winning a world without the ravages of capitalism and imperialism, a workers world of peace, plenty and justice for the masses will continue to inspire us.
As “Ka Bels” wife has said upon his death “the fight goes on” and so it will.
We fight on in his image. Long live international solidarity: long live the unity and solidarity between the Filipino and Australian people; long live the Socialist objective.
We express our deepest sympathy and support to “Ka Bel’s” family, comrades and friends. We are thinking of you at this sad time.

LEN COOPER
Chairperson
